Fun Stuff

Nick Folker began his swimming career for the University of Miami before transferring to the University of Hawaii, where he graduated with a degree in business. A South Africa native, he represented his country in Sydney at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games in the Freestyle and Medley Relays.

Growing up, Nick was more involved in team sports such as rugby and cricket, but dreams of swimming for his country on the Olympic stage drew him deeper into the pool.

Nick is currently the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach for the University of California, Berkeley, and is in charge of Cal's elite Swimming & Diving program helmed by 2010 NCAA Coach of the Year Dave Durden. He oversees the team's weightlifting and dryland programs and also manages their nutritional requirements.
